Description
A 68-bed inpatient residential medically supervised treatment facility. Provides 24-hour care to men and women who need support, counseling, observation, nursing, and medical care to achieve initial stabilization from drug and/or alcohol withdrawal. Typical stays are 7-14 days with possible extended stay to 28 days for co-occurring mental health or medical disorders. Supportive services offered to enrolled patients include individual, group, and family counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, drug screening, education regarding addiction and disease management, health education, suboxone treatment, continued medication assisted treatment, medical evaluation and follow up as needed, self-help involvement, relapse prevention, overdose prevention education, and discharge planning.

Eligibility
Male and female patients ages 18 years and older who are actively abusing opiate drugs, alcohol, and/or benzodiazepines and are at risk for withdrawal.

Program Fees
Accepts most commercial health insurance plans, Medicaid, and Medicare. Insurances accepted vary based on service type provided, such as outpatient treatment vs. inpatient and residential treatment. Sliding fee schedules are available for eligible patients and are based on income level and family size. Horizon serves all patients regardless of ability to pay.
